Service Perspective: Customer About Service Gripe: Over efficient waiters that insist on removing any plates from the table before ALL guests have finished theirs. It is probably thought of as good service, but is actually incredibly rude! From Nils Andersen in Carmel, CA |

Service Perspective: General Gripe Gripe: Often the perception is that African American's tip less than others. Having said that, and as a concerned African American with people who have that false perception, I ask. Is there a difference in level of service because of this perception? From D. Porter in Oakland, CA |
| Type of Gripe: Traffic Perspective: General Gripe Gripe: I hate it when your on the freeway and the right lane merges into the middle lane and you get into the lane that will be merged into so that you wont have to cut in front of someone and all kinds of cars zoom by you on the right only to have to merge into the lane your in and hold up the flow. Now some of the cars don't know that it will merge, but more do know because they commute that way everyday. The regulars even do this maddening thing on the weekends! I'd like to straddle both lanes so they can't get by, and someday I'm going to do it. From Diane in Hayward, CA |

Service Perspective: Customer About Service Gripe: I think my biggest gripe is some folks like to go and drink and talk for an hour before ordering. We don't drink. We like to order right away and when were done, get our check and go. I have colitis and never know after eating how long it will be before I need to hit the bathroom. Sometimes after eating we sit there waiting for 1/2 hr or more trying to wave down our server. Sometimes they are busy, and other times they are just taking a break or talking. That's how I decide on the tip, and to me that is just as important as the meal. We try not to ask for much or take up their time sending them back and forth. We always hope they will do the same. Some do, and most don't. From Sylvie in Petaluma, CA |

Service Perspective: Customer About Service Gripe: Why is it when you order pancakes or waffles for breakfast they always arrive cold. And why can't the server tell that it's cold when that big glob of butter they place on top doesn't melt. From Eileen Lamb in Stockton, CA |
